How we know
Xcout Intel reads fund closes reported in the news since January 2024, counts several articles about one close once, converts other currencies at the day's rate, and reads "venture and growth" from the fund's name and the firm's type.

What this does not show
- This is what the news reported, not a census of the industry, and it will not match data vendors who count differently.
- Coverage of 2024 is thinner than of 2025 and 2026, so part of any rise over two years is ours.
- A fund's size is as reported at its close.
