How we know

Xcout Intel reads every open job on the careers sites of the largest pharmaceutical companies, counts each requisition once, and places it by the country of its first listed location. The report is frozen weekly.

What this does not show

  • Novo Nordisk, Boehringer Ingelheim and Merck KGaA are not read yet, so they are not in the ranking. An open posting is not a hire.
  • Company groups are counted as they recruit: Roche includes Genentech; Bayer includes Crop Science and Consumer Health; Merck & Co. is MSD outside the US and Canada, not Merck KGaA.
