How we know

Xcout Intel reads every open job on the careers sites (applicant-tracking systems) of the Fortune 500 companies it covers, 342 of 500, and freezes a weekly edition. "New in 7 days" is shown only for companies read for the whole week.

Full figures: How the Fortune 500 is hiring (frozen edition: 2026-11-02). How every report is built: methodology.

What this does not show

  • An open posting is not a hire, and one posting can stand for several openings (or none, if it is evergreen).
  • The 158 Fortune 500 companies we do not read yet are not in the ranking, so a company missing here may simply not be covered.
  • Counts come from what each company lists on its own careers site; jobs advertised only through agencies or job boards are not seen.
